Anthony Nelson – Associate Attorney

Although the newest addition to the firm, attorney Anthony Nelson has extensive experience in fighting to protect civil rights. He has received commendations from the U.S. House of Representatives and California State Assembly for demonstrating excellence in civil rights. His course of study while in law school focused primarily on social justice matters, thereby exposing him to many complex civil rights issues.

While attending Berkeley Law, Anthony worked as a law clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office in 2014 and again as a certified law clerk in 2015. While at the DA’s office, Anthony was able to complete eight preliminary hearings, and gained more courtroom experience in the form of 995 hearings, motion to suppress evidence hearings, and motion to revoke probation hearings.

In addition to criminal law and civil rights law, Anthony has experience working in the fields of family law, landlord-tenant law, and educational policy. He also gained experience in the field of international criminal law through interning for the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
